Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 14 November 2008

Insulting to war dead

• WHILE shopping the other Saturday at the N1 Centre I bought my poppy from two young ladies, who had been ordered to move on by security as promotions were not allowed in the area.
I immediately reported this to the management office and was told they understood the problem but that the area was private property and there was nothing they could do.
I am quite angry and upset as the poppy collection is for the Royal British Legion and acts as remembrance for the soldiers who died for us so we could be here.
