A STABBING victim is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked in Finsbury Park on Monday.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault, next to the Andover estate in Durham Road, Finsbury Park, just after midnight.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was stabbed in the stomach.
He was said to be in a serious but stable condition in a north London hospital this week. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Officers from Islington CID are keeping an open mind as to the motive for the attack. The scene of the stabbing was cordoned off while officers searched the area and carried out forensic inquiries.
An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with the assault has been released on bail.
Anyone with information or who witnessed the attack is asked to call Islington CID on 020 7421 0185.
