The full choir get ready for this weekend’s event
Community choir on song for BBC finals

AN AMATEUR community choir has beaten off stiff competition to reach the finals of the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year.
The London Lucumi Choir rehearses just once a week in the cramped, Tufnell Park sitting room of one of its members, Daniela Rosselson.
But this weekend the 21-strong group of primary school teachers, parents and administrators will perform at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in a sing-off between the UK’s top undiscovered choirs.
The Afro-Cuban choir, which formed two years ago, is now down to the final six of the competition.
