Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 07 November 2008

An Eden with soul

• THE district of Eden Grove may be rundown in material and earthly matters, but soulless? No! (Rundown and soulless, this area needs heart transplant, October 17)
It begins at Zig Zag University, in Holloway Road, and ends at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a grade II*-listed building by architect AW Pugin, in the care of Father Gideon.
I play the organ every Saturday at 6pm and the attendance averages 70 souls. The church is well supported on Sunday mornings. I am sure all are welcome no matter what they believe or disbelieve.
I feel the heart is in the right place as indeed is my music, which I trust adds soul to the grove of Eden, a garden of faith in these troubled times.
Dr Frank A McFarlane
