Jazz, cakes and fun

MAYOR of Islington Councillor Stefan Kasprzyk will open a fun day in Angel tomorrow (Saturday).
A live jazz band, free tea and cakes and a children’s entertainer are being laid on at Claremont Project, in White Lion Street. Children will have the chance to learn how to juggle and whirl a diabolo.
The event is being organised by Partners for Improvement in Islington, which is overseeing the upgrading of 6,500 council homes.
Ed Butler, head of quality at Partners, said: “The fun day is about listening to our residents and giving them helpful information. And it’s about having fun.”
The event runs from 2.20pm to 4.30pm.
