Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 3 October 2008

Dangerous crossing

THERE is a death-trap pedestrian crossing outside Tesco in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park. The green man comes on and people cross, but at the same time traffic heading south-west along Seven Sisters Road is sent through the crossing.
This morning a vehicle went straight through a crowd of kids crossing, knocking them out of the way, because he had the right of way. Luckily, no one was hurt.
There needs to be another red light on the crossing to stop cars going through it when people are directed to cross. And the people who installed the system need to be imprisoned for attempted murder.
