It’s a white, white world
• IT is astonishing that someone should take the trouble to complain about the over-representation of ethnic minorities in a recent article (Snapshots, August 29). Does S Warwick occupy the same planet as the rest of us? One which perpetuates white superiority, and where every aspect of society, including the criminal and legal systems, politics, medicine, business, sport and entertainment, remains dominated by white norms and values.
Perhaps a little reflection is due here as to why the absence of a white face is so disturbing, when the reverse is what most black and minority ethnic people have to endure every day of their lives.
