Fast working chief exec’ becomes an easy rider

THERE’S no stopping Islington’s “hands-on” chief executive John Foster in his efforts to get around the borough.
Mr Foster had never ridden pillion before accepting Lib Dem councillor Greg Foxsmith’s offer to show him round Islington on the back of his motorbike.
Mr Foster said: “It was an exhilarating and convenient way to see Islington – without the traffic jams. It was a new experience for me and one I’d be happy to repeat.”
Cllr Foxsmith said: “By agreeing to come by bike, we were able to cover a lot of ground.”
Mr Foster, who took up the reins at Islington in June, is currently visiting all of the borough’s wards to find out more about local issues.
