Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 22 August 2008

Crime map concerns

• IT’S good to see Boris Johnson delivering so quickly on his manifesto pledge to bring New York-style crime-mapping to London. But a quick glance at the maps on the Met’s website revealed the concerning news that Bunhill ward, covering Old Street and St Luke’s, was not only above average for crime but had seen a sharp rise since last month.
I hope the powers that be will continue to copy New York and direct the necessary resources to Bunhill to ensure it does not turn into a crime hot-spot.
