Still grey 70 years on

• DID anyone notice that 70 years ago, at the opening of Parliament Hill Lido, the weather must have been as miserable as ours this month (St Pancras’s inner-city health resort, August 15). The sky looks grey and the audience was wearing coats and hats – not a single summer dress to be seen. One woman even seems to have a fur trim on her coat.
