Three held after brawl

THREE men have been arrested after a mass brawl outside a pub in the N1 Centre in Angel.
A man was attacked with a broken bottle in the fight, which erupted outside the Glassworks pub in the early hours of Saturday.
Chapel Market was closed for several hours so police could collect evidence.
Detectives say the brawl was not gang-related. A spokeswoman for Islington police said: “The incident involved two groups of males, aged in their 20s, who did not know each other.
“Both groups had been drinking in the Glassworks pub in the N1 Centre during the evening. Once the pub had closed, the two groups became involved in an altercation during which one male was assaulted with a broken bottle.”
The attack victim was taken to hospital for treatment to cuts on his back and discharged from hospital the next day.
Three men, all aged in their 20s, were later arrested in Pentonville Road and released on bail. Several further arrests for disorder were made when a number of drunken men attempted to cross police cordons.
Anyone with information about the attack should call Detective Sergeant Irene Smith at Islington CID on 020 7421 0350 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
