Gunners boss kicks off nursery

ARSENAL director Ken Friar joined Mayor of Islington Councillor Stefan Kasprzyk for the opening of the borough’s newest nursery on Tuesday.
The Mount Carmel Early Care and Education Centre is part of the multi-million pound Highbury Studios development in Hornsey Street, off Holloway Road. It is part of the new artistic and cultural quarter associated with the Arsenal Emirates stadium regeneration.
Among those present at the opening was developer Antony Spencer, who came up with the idea of moving Arsenal’s ground to Ashburton Grove and who is behind the Highbury Studios business-space development.
The new nursery offers 84 spaces for children between 7.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. The Highbury Studios development will have 2,300 homes, restaurants, shops, gyms, art galleries, recording studios and artistic studios.
