A pass for early risers
• HOW dare Doris Daly presume to know my travel preferences and support my movements being restricted (Anger at 24-hour Freedom Pass, April 11).
She might not have a spirit of adventure but I am regularly on public transport before 9am and often before 7am. Thank goodness for my Oyster card. Doesn’t she know the pleasure of greeting people in the early morning at airports and stations – or meeting a friend early on a day out.
For those who wish to live a fuller life the extra hours will be a godsend.
Come on, golden oldies of Islington, let’s fight the penny-pinchers who want to deprive us of 24-hour bus travel.
