Police launch investigation after death of man, 47, in Angel

POLICE are investigating an incident in Wilton Square, Angel, which has led to the death of a 47-year-old man.
Highbury man Anthony Speer, 47, died in hospital following the incident on March 4.
Last night (Thursday) neighbours of Mr Speer in Gardeners Court, Kelvin Road, expressed shock at his death.
Neighbour Ian Degnam described Mr Speer as a nice man who did odd jobs and would always help people.
An police incident room has been set up after a post mortem examination on Tuesday at St Pancras mortuary gave the cause of death as a head injury.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at St Pancras coroner’s court.

n A man in his 50s was arrested on March 14 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident and has been bailed to return to a north London police station in mid-April, pending further enquiries.
