Youth’s estate ban

A TEENAGER has been banned from the Packington estate in Islington.
Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court was told that Dylan Williams, 16, had persistently gone off with other people’s bikes. He had broken the conditions of an individual support order
Justice James Henderson banned the teenager, who failed to attend the hearing, from entering the estate or having in his possession bicycles, tricycles or skates without the owners’ consent.
The anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) runs for two years.
The court was unable to contact the teenager who, until recently, was believed to be living in Hoxton. Another hearing on March 17 will determine whether he is placed under the supervision of a youth offending team and offered support.
PC Graham Burke, of Islington police Asbo unit, said after the hearing that boys had “caused havoc” around the estate, off Essex Road, stealing bikes and throwing stones at CCTV cameras.
