Young swimmers at the Cally Pool launch of Swimathon challenge
Swimmers, how far will you go to help charity?

WATER babies and doggy paddlers alike - the time has come for Islington’s annual Swimathon.
Ironmonger Row Baths in Finsbury, and Cally Pool, in King’s Cross, are calling on swimmers to help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Damien Swan, manager of Cally Pool, which raised £9,595 last year, said: “This year we want our Swimathon to be the best ever – particularly as the money is going to such an important cause.
“Taking part in the Swimathon is a great way to increase your fitness level and there is plenty of time to start training for the event.”
Prizes will go to swimmers and teams who raise the most money.
Swimmers can take part as an individual in challenges of 1,500, 2,500 or 5,000 metres. Teams of two to five people can take part in the 5,000-metre relay challenge.
Ironmonger Row Baths hosts the event on April 18-19, and Cally Pool on April 19-20.
To register for the Swimathon, call Cally Pool on 020 7278 1890 or Ironmonger Row Baths on 020 7253 4011 or visit www.aquaterra.org
