Handbag mugging

A HOODED mugger smothered his victim’s screams with a gloved hand as he prised her handbag from her grasp.
The thief struck at about 10.30pm on Wednesday. The 26-year-old woman was walking along John Spencer Square in Canonbury.
The mugger grabbed her from behind, dragged her to the floor and covered her mouth when she began to scream.
The woman was left with grazed knuckles and a large bump on her forehead.
