Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 18 January 2008

Such noisy neighbours

• THE worst thing that ever happened was to allow council houses to be sold off cheaply (Turn that noise down, January 4).

Most were bought to let, not a good idea for residents living nearby. The owners promptly let the properties to students, lodgers and families no one else would put up with.
They have no respect for other tenants. Ask them to turn down loud music and you are told: “We can play music as loud as we like.” Repairs go on late into the night, and gardens are full of noisy drunks. They have nothing to do with the area and do not care about it.
