Three stars for care

ISLINGTON'S adult social care services have won a three-star rating – the highest awarded by the government.
The extra star from the Commission for Social Care Inspection puts Islington in the top third of councils nationally for adult social care performance.
Lib Dem executive member for health and social care Councillor John Gilbert said: “Three stars mean Islington’s adult care services are efficient, well run and delivering good outcomes for people.”
The council has pledged to offer more control and choice to meet growing demands from its aging population.
