Please Sir, can we have our £25,000 cheque?

ACTOR John Alderton, star of classic sitcom Please Sir, gave a special needs school a boost when he handed over a £25,000 cheque.
The money from The Lord’s Taverners charity will buy equipment for The Bridge School’s sensory theatre, which helps children with autism, learning difficulties and Down’s Syndrome.
The theatre at the 150-pupil school in Barnsbury develops children’s communication and inter-action skills.
Mr Alderton, who was also seen in the period drama Upstairs Downstairs, said: “It has been inspiring to visit The Bridge School and see the incredible work it does for all these children.”
School project manager Milton Bevan said the £25,000 grant would have a huge influence on their work.
