Judge sets January date for murder trial

AN agonising wait for the loved ones of a stabbing victim may come to an end in the new year.
Old Bailey judge Brian Barker, the Common Serjeant of London, has confirmed January 2 as the date for the trial of Barrington McKenzie, who denies murdering musician and sound engineer Tom Easton.
Mr Easton, of Bolton Walk, Holloway, was fatally stabbed at the Islington Council-run EC1 music project in Old Street on September 15 last year.
