Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 16 November 2007

Long wait for advice

• THE Liberal Democrat council has promised to have a Citizens Advice Bureau up and running by April next year. I would like to know why it is taking so long.
What will people with urgent problems do over the coming months? The lack of an advice bureau in the sixth-most-deprived borough in the country is clearly unacceptable.
Now more than ever, people need help with benefits advice, housing issues and debt. If Islington Council was as quick at resolving the CAB scandal as it is with issuing parking tickets then we would all be a lot happier.
Cllr Catherine West
Labour group leader
