Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 2 November 2007

Pub hours: the facts

• I READ with interest the article, Late licence for ‘quiet’ pub sparks outrage (October 19), and, quite frankly, I wonder where you got your information from.
I sat on that licensing committee and I certainly don’t remember giving an alcohol licence until 3am, seven days a week. The variation on the licence is as follows: to play live music until 11pm; to serve alcohol until midnight Sundays to Thursday; and to serve alcohol until 2am Friday and Saturday.
Other conditions are that no drinks will be allowed outside (back and front) after 10pm and that the glass doors at the front of the premises shall remain shut at all times.
Cllr Tracy Ismail
Lib Dem, St Georges
