Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 19 October 2007

Missing restaurant

• I WAS surprised to notice that the Ta Dilina Greek restaurant in Junction Road, Archway, has disappeared. I don’t mean it has closed down, I mean demolished. Does anyone know what’s happened to it?

I raise this because the building is part of a conservation area created to preserve these buildings. Even more worryingly, whoever did it seems to be moving right on with a new building. As a local resident I have not received any details from the council regarding any planning application nor is anything evident on their website.
The new build is in a colour and apparent style that clashes with the existing and surrounding facades.
Are Islington planning officers going to do anything about this?
