Women get in the swim

A POOL is to banish men on Monday afternoons to launch free lessons for women who avoid swimming because of cultural or religious reasons.
The lessons at Golden Lane Leisure Centre in Finsbury are aimed particularly at Muslim, Asian and African women.
Fartun Abdullahi, 25, found swimming was a good way to relieve severe back pain. “I do not like swimming in public as I feel self-conscious in my all-in-one swim suit,” she said.
