Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 5 October 2007

Catalogue of woes

• THE article on the problems Eugen Hockenjos has experienced is very interesting but not at all surprising (Home repairs that turned into ‘two-year nightmare’, September 28).

Partners for Improvement in Islington was responsible for the improvement to our property and all that we had was a catalogue of bad workmanship, and the work was signed off by them before it was rectified.
Plumbers connected up the new heating and hot water system incorrectly so the heating came on every time the hot water was put on, and they kept saying there was nothing wrong. After months of telling them of the problem, they eventually sent a plumber around who sussed out the pipes had not been connected properly. They started the job in February and still we are waiting for things to be rectified.
It would be interesting to hear of other people’s woes, although if we did I’m sure we would be snowed under with the responses.
