Facebook politics
• I TRIED very hard to find a response to my letter in the “reply” by Tim McLoughlin but found nothing of substance (Politicians on move, September 21).
Those familiar with the rules of formal debate will know that such a diatribe is known as argument ad hominem.
Like myself, Tim also has a Facebook profile. However, unlike me, his activities and interests revolve completely around his preferred political party (no prizes for guessing which one).
Is this Mr McLoughlin’s way of saying he has conceded that the actions of Emily Thornberry are indefensible?
