Threat to Nag’s Head
• I SHARE the concern of some residents about the proposed new cinema at the Arsenal stadium.
The Odeon cinema in Holloway Road is a local landmark and it would be a real shame to see it endangered.
The council has done a lot of work regenerating the Nag’s Head area, which now has CCTV, its own police team, improvements to the streets, and new lights are on the way.
Anything that diverts people away from the area now threatens all that good work.
So it was good to hear from the owners of the Odeon that they are not scared of the competition, and I would encourage residents to support their local cinema.
I know my girls will keep going there on a Sunday morning.
