Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 21 September 2007

Wrap up, save power

• WALLY Burgess is absolutely right (‘Forget wind turbines, turn the lights off’, September 7). Rather than searching for expensive alternatives to fossil fuels in the generating of electricity, we should be looking for ways of reducing our need for so much electric power.
Not only should we be cutting back on unnecessary lighting, we should also be avoiding the need for so much heating in our homes and places of work.
One of the easiest ways of achieving this is simply to wear warmer clothes.

HARLEY SHERLOCK
Alwyne Place, N1
