Fish shop damaged by fire

BELOVED Islington fishmongers Steve Hatt caught ablaze on Tuesday night after its smoke-holes ignited.
Mr Hatt said: “It’s too early to tell how bad the damage is – it took me three hours just to sort out the emergency services.”
The storefront seems to have been unaffected by the fire, which ran through the back section of the shop, and needed 20 firefighters to extinguish. Despite the shock, Mr Hatt and his staff were back selling fish by Wednesday morning.
The shop in Essex Road has a reputation as one of the best fish shops in London, and regularly features in lists of celebrity foodie favourites.
Restaurateurs and locals alike will be hoping it gets back on its feet quickly.
