Walkout warning

• I WOULD like to congratulate prison officers on their action last week. Legal or not, it was morally right (First strike by prison officers, August 31).
It could not have been easy for the prison officers to walk out and risk their future employment. I am sure many thousands of other public employees are near to replicating the action of the prison officers, especially those in the NHS and local government.
