Islington Tribune - by JAMIE WELHAM
Published: 31 August 2007

Still rockin’ after all these years

YOU are never too old to rock, as members of Islington’s Claremont Project are determined to prove today (Friday).
They will twist, jive and sing along to golden oldies from the 30s to the 60s at an over-55s gig at the project’s White Lion Street base.
Jazz musician and singer-songwriter Elisabeth Hansz, 65, will perform classic numbers from Porgy and Bess and Oklahoma! as well as Bob Dylan favourites.
Mrs Hansz said: “We just want to give people that feelgood factor, make them relaxed and hopefully get a few of them up on stage.”
The 2pm event is free to members of the project.
