Meek in the movies

PART of Holloway Road stepped back to the 1960s last weekend for a film about legendary record producer Joe Meek.
The movie set was complete with authentic cars, which were parked up along the busy A1.
Meek, who founded the Telstar label, ran his studio for much of the time from above a leather goods shop on Holloway Road.
The film, called Telstar, features the actor Kevin Spacey as Meek, who was famous for his work with the Tornadoes and killed himself in 1967.
