Reilly: Jailed 19 years
Jail for pensioner after guns and drug seizure

A PENSIONER from Holloway led a secret double life as a gun-running cocaine dealer.
John Reilly, from Faraday Close, Holloway. was jailed for 19 years on Monday after a police raid found 12 guns, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and five kilos of cocaine.
Neighbours in the quiet cul-de-sac said they were “shocked” to hear the pensioner had been involved in racketeering.
Reilly pleaded guilty to 12 counts of possession of a fireman, possession of ammunition without a certificate, and one count of conspiracy to supply to cocaine.
He was sentenced to 19 years at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday.
In August last year, officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Middle Market Drugs Project began surveillance on Reilly as he moved around London.
On August 16, he left a flat in on Caister House, Holloway, and got into a silver Subaru and drove to Fullers Road, near to Woodford Green High Street, where he parked up.
After leaving the car he returned and sat waiting with engine off and the driver’s window down.
Officers arrested Reilly and searched the car, finding nearly a kilo of cocaine on the glove-box in silver foil.
They also found keys to Caister House, which police believe was used as an office by Reilly.
A search of the flat turned up another four kilos of cocaine in a holdall.
Hidden in the same cupboard was a stash of shotguns, handguns, semi-automatic pistols and a machine gun- along with five silencers and more 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
The haul included a loaded Uzi sub machine gun and Mach 10 sub-machine gun with silencer.
Also found were two sets of body armour, one balaclava, two post office uniforms, a money counting machine, digital scales, drug credit list and 2,000 in cash.
Including the cocaine found in the car, more than 6.1 kilos were recovered with a purity of up to 70 per cent.
