Published: 3 August 2007

Support our posties

ON Tuesday, the postal workers at Mount Pleasant Mail Centre were on strike over their employer Royal Mail’s refusal to negotiate with the Communication Workers Union (CWU) to resolve the dispute.
MP Jeremy Corbyn visited the picket line at Mount Pleasant and spoke in support of the workers and their fight to save the postal service, their jobs and pensions.
Post Office chairman Allan Leighton works one day a week and tells postal workers they are 40 per cent under-worked.
Chief executive Adam Crozier is paid more than £1 million a year and tells postal workers on £323 they are overpaid.
Write to Allan Leighton and Adam Crozier at 148 Old Street, London EC1 9HQ and tell them you are supporting your local postmen and postwomen and insist that they negotiate with CWU on the future of postal aervices.
