Policeman injured during arrest

A POLICEMAN had his jaw broken as he tried to arrest an alleged teenage drug dealer.
The 27-year-old constable was punched in the face in Barnsbury Street, Barnsbury, on Saturday afternoon while searching a youth who had been acting suspiciously.

The injured policeman was treated at University College Hospital in Euston.
A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with grievous bodily harm, intent to resist arrest and possession of cannabis. He appeared at Thames Youth Court on Monday.
