Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 20 July 2007

Sweep up this rubbish

• I’M fed up being told how the council is listening. Anyone who looks at the rubbish in the streets these days can tell they aren’t doing anything, they’re just listening.
The streets have been filthy for years and increasingly this do-nothing council reminds me of life under Labour.
Council leader James Kempton’s predecessor, Steve Hitchins, wasn’t my cup of tea but there was never any doubt he was getting stuff done and it made living in Islington exciting.
