Soap stars keep pushy parents in the wings

PUSHY parents are banned from a new drama school set up by two former EastEnders actors.
Brooke Kinsella and Ray Panthaki, who live in Barnsbury, say it is pointless shoving children into a church hall for three hours on a Saturday morning if they would rather be playing football.
Ms Kinsella, 23, said: “We want kids to come to the school because they want to be there and that’s why we are having a meet-and-greet session.”
The couple, who played Kelly Taylor and Ronny Ferreira in the television soap, believe they have spotted a gap in the market for a more relaxed theatre school.
Ms Kinsella said: “We have excellent and professional teachers who specialise in acting, singing and dancing. But it is about having fun and not the finer points of jazz ballet.”
Mr Panthaki, 28, added: “The classes are for two types of kids – those who want a professional career and those who want to learn and become more confident.”
The Talent Factory classes, for youngsters aged eight to 16, will be staged at Holy Trinity Church, in Shepherdess Walk, off City Road.
Two three-hour sessions will run every Saturday from September. Each will cost about £18.
