Big chill forecasts

IT may be summer but already thoughts are turning to keeping traffic moving on Islington’s roads this winter.
A thermal route- mapping service, using long-range weather forecasts, will identify roads most at risk of freezing. Islington’s gritters spread a sugar cane derivative on roads to keep them ice-free.
