Absolutely fabulous

• I THOUGHT Fiona Green’s review of Christopher Barker’s book was fabulous (It was the best of times and the worst of times, June 22). It gave me a powerful sense of the book, the author, his parents and their times.
It’s wonderful to read a review that is by someone who is not only well informed but conveys their own personhood at the same time. I hope I’ll be reading more of Ms Green’s reviews very soon.
