Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 29 June 2007

Vibrant Passage will never by finished

• AFTER trading for 25 years in Camden Passage, when I was given notice to quit by the new (property developer) owners who had bought the block of 10 shops I thought long and hard.
Camden Passage has changed and, yes, we all do miss the Georgian Village and the stalls in front of it, but there is still a vibrancy and “busyness” about the Passage and always a sense of community.
I feel passionate about Camden Passage and about my amazing customers over the years so I have decided to take on a new lease (at enormous expense) and carry on trading, so I can look forward to another few years welcoming all my old friends and, hopefully, new ones to Cloud Cuckoo Land.
I don’t think Camden Passage will ever be finished.
CHRISSIE HARPER
Cloud Cuckoo Land, Camden Passage, N1
