Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 8 June 2007

More propaganda

LIB Dem executive member Councillor Marisha Ray is quoted as saying: “We worked hand in hand with the police to try to find a long-term solution to this problem (Blitz on drinkers who bare all in park, June 1).
Over the past 12 months, at meetings I attended to put the case for local people, Cllr Ray was never present. I am not aware that, despite being handsomely paid, she has ever lifted a finger to help people around Kinloch Park.
It is a disgrace that she now claims credit for the work of others, particularly Sergeant Chris Walsh. This is typical of statements from the Town Hall which are little more than Lib Dem propaganda paid for by council tax-payers

I LOVED the juxtaposition of stories with the headline “Blitz on drinkers who bare all in park” right under a picture of members of the Fabian Society raising their glasses in a toast.
Reminds me of some howlers when I was a journalist in the old Fleet Street, including the by-lines of two reporters called Peter O’Kill and Stanley Slaughter on the story of a double murder.
