Another defeat for Bridget?
• FOLLOWING Bridget Fox’s most recent contribution to the letters page (Where blame lies for shutting post offices, May 25), in which she again feels the need to tell us that Emily Thornberry is the sitting MP for Islington South and Finsbury (and not her), could I make the following points:
• The Town Hall has-beens are unlikely to make the grade as MPs.
• The voters of Barnsbury ward (Ms Fox’s old ward) returned three Labour councillors at the last council elections.
Ms Fox lost her seat as a result of her own inadequate performance and, should she run as a Lib-Dem candidate at the next general election, I suggest she brings some tissues with her to the count and goes easy on the mascara.
