Help us support refugees
• WE are a small Islington community group determined to defy the continued Israeli bombardment of Gaza and the internal fighting, and to forge friendship links with Palestinians in Yibna Refugee Camp in the south of Gaza.
The Islington Friends of Yibna group has already managed to send more than 300 nursery books to Yibna, in spite of the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
I hope people from Islington will come to our meeting at the Town Hall at 7pm on June 21 when speakers will include an Islington human rights solicitor involved in obtaining the arrest warrant against an Israeli general for ordering massive house demolition in Yibna, a Palestinian eye-witness from Yibna and a recently-returned British medical delegate to Gaza.
