Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 4 May 2007

Bendy buses bring danger to our roads

• FOLLOWING the recent Transport for London survey highlighting the danger of lorries to cyclists, I feel compelled to write about super-size bendy buses, which are dangerous too.
Bendy buses are too long for Islington’s Victorian streets. And it’s very expensive to move bus stops, kerbs and crossings to make way for them – money I’d rather see spent on conventional buses, bike racks and lanes, and road repairs.
I think Bridget Fox is right to oppose them. Ken Livingstone’s experiment isn’t working here.
