Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 4 May 2007

Deafening night ride

• I AM writing to you about the number 29 bus and how bad it has got at night. The service is now known as the ‘free’ bus because you do not get inspectors on it at night, so no one actually pays.

It is intimidating going on the bus at night as you get all the hoodies playing their so-called cool music on their phones.
They then cause problems on the route. Last night someone was playing their music loud so we asked them to turn it off or down. Someone else on the bus told us to shut up and then said he would punch us if we would not shut up.
I have called the bus company and my call was just logged. I emailed Transport for London and they said they have inspectors on the buses at night. I have never seen an inspector on the bus at night since it has been running. Transport for London needs to do something about this route and soon.
