Festival returns to park

A FREE anti-racism festival is to be staged in Finsbury Park again this year, despite initial plans to move it to south London.
Rise: London United was to have taken place on Clapham Common on Sunday, July 15, but will now be held at Finsbury Park on that date. It is the 11th year Europe’s biggest anti-racism festival has been hosted by the park.
Mayor of London Ken Livingstone said: “Although we wanted Clapham Common to host this year’s Rise: London United, it would have been necessary to reduce the number of stages and the event would have been smaller.”
