Award-winning portrait of MP who came in from cold

A SELF-portrait of a freezing Islington MP has been picked as one of the winning photographs in a parliamentary competition.
‘The Frozen Hair’, right, taken by Emily Thornberry, Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury, was one of three entrants from the House of Commons selected for the Jessops Parliamentary Photographic Prize.
Ms Thornberry took the photograph during a trip to the Arctic which she undertook to raise money for deprived children in Islington.
Competition pictures are on show in the Upper Waiting Room of the House of Commons until today (Friday).
They will then move to the House of Lords until May 4.
