Hunt for Tube skier

A DAREDEVIL stuntman who skied 197 feet down an escalator at Angel Tube station and then posted film of the escapade on the internet is being sought by police.
British Transport Police (BTP) are looking for the man after a grainy video labelled ‘Angel Tube’ made its way onto websites, including the video-sharing site YouTube.
The film, which has been watched more than a million times on YouTube alone, appears to show a man in full ski apparel ascend the 60- metre escalator, turn around at the top and ski all the way down.
He skids to a stop in front of astonished onlookers and then apparently poses outside the station by the Angel sign.
A London Underground spokesman dismissed the stunt as “dangerous, stupid and irresponsible” this week. He added: “London Underground will press for the police to take the strongest possible action against anyone attempting a similar act on the Tube network.”
A BTP spokesman said: “This is a naive and reckless act that could have caused injury, not only to the individual but to unaware passengers.”
Anyone who knows the man or witnessed the stunt should call BTP on 0800 405040.
