writings on the wall as christ appears for easter
SHARP-EYED visitors to Upper Street over the Easter season may be find Jesus Christ appearing in an artist’s writing on the wall.
The piece on display outside St Mary’s church, which was created by legal writer and calligrapher Amy Hole, cleverly depicts Christ through the words of the New Testament. Mrs Hole, who lives in Cross Street, Highbury, said the picture was inspired by her struggle to understand who Jesus was.
She said: “Doing a piece about him meant I could dwell on the words and really get to know Him.” |
